Do you enjoy granola? It is delicious sprinkled on yogurt for a great morning breakfast, as a snack to bring hiking, or something easy to grab and go with. I love the flavors granola has and the different varieties out there. Recently I was lucky enough to try  Luv Michael   Originola Granola. What is unique about this brand, and personally my favorite thing about it, is that they train, educate and employ people with Autism! Check out their  About Us  page for more detailed info. I know you'll love what you see. Your purchase enables Michael and thousands of other with Autism realize their true potential. (copied from  Our Mission  page) The other thing that is terrific is the ingredients. They use 100% organic whole grain granola using the finest organic ingredients. Cocozia Coconut Oil ~ Extra Virgin and 100% Organic

Image
I appreciate a good, clean coconut oil that is everything I want it to be. Cocozia does a great job with keeping the quality intact and the flavor so tasty! Coconut oil can be used for so many things, including skincare, hair care and of course, eating and cooking! Extra Virgin is one of the best kinds you can get and it being 100% organic, means you get the best of the best here. Not only that, but for the price you get 2 JARS! Not just one! I was very happy with that! It is also USDA Certified Organic and Non-GMO Verified. Coconut oil helps speed up the metabolism in a healthy, all-natural way so can help with weight loss. It also boosts the immune system and has anti-microbial and anti-viral properties, which help keep the body healthy and at its best functioning. You can also use it in your hair as a mask to moisturize and as an alternative to lotion. You don't need much and it leaves the skin extremely soft. It is also a great carrier oil for those of you who ...

Organic India #momsmeet #OrganicIndia

Image
Do you like tea or know someone who does? Then this post is a must read! I had never heard of Organic India until  Moms Meet  introduced me to it recently. I have always loved tea (tea parties as a kid anyone?) and a good hot cup of tea is just what I love to relax with; that and a good book. What is unique about Organic India tea is that you will see the word Tulsi on all the boxes. For over 5,000 years Tulsi has been considered to be India's "Queen of Herbs". It is revered as one of the most sacred herbs as they believe it is infused with healing power. Now I'm not sure about the healing power, but it certainly is delicious. I did find that the Sweet Rose was especially relaxing and helped me sleep that night. My second favorite is the Pomegranate Green, which I prefer iced. It is also the only one I received that has caffeine, so the majority of them are perfect for that relaxing cup of tea before bed. There are over 20 different flavors and Organic In...

Cocozia 100% Organic Coconut Water Review & Recipe

Image
I really enjoy coconut water and it is so good for you. I only buy organic coconut water because there is a big difference in flavor if you ask me. Cocozia is USDA Certified Organic and I love the real deal! Cocozia's coconut water is crisp and light and has a great mild flavor. It is a delicious way to hydrate and my favorite time to drink it is before I run a race and after to rehydrate. It is also a perfect way to cool down after being in the sun all day and to help replenish your body with necessary nutrients. It is high in magnesium which is essential to our bodies and also has calcium, iron, phosphorous and potassium. A great way to get electrolytes without added sugar. One of the great things about this coconut water is that you can use it not just for drinking but for baking as well. Use it in breads in place of warm water or in hot oatmeal in the morning. My favorite way is to muddle herbs and fruit in the bottom of a glass and add coconut water to it. Very ta...

#GFFAFest in Minneapolis!!!

Image
Today was a fabulous day at the Minneapolis Convention Center for the Gluten-Free Food Allergy Festival . With so many vendors and so much to learn, two days just didn't seem long enough! The festival was held Saturday May 16th through Sunday May 17th from 10am-4pm both days.  There were various vendors including Cheerios , who is proudly going to be providing gluten free choices beginning in July. The five cereals that will be gluten free are the Original Cheerios, Honey Nut, Multi-Grain, Apple Cinnamon and Frosted. The line to the booth was SO long! Who wouldn't be interested in such a popular brand becoming eatable for those suffering from food allergies and celiac disease, among other things. They had a wheel you could spin to win a magnet or a T-shirt! It was so popular that they ran out of T-shirts before long. Very fun to interact with them! A few more popular brands included Glutino  and Udi's . (Head's up: click that Udi's link to get a $1 off coupon f...

Makaibari Organic Darjeeling Black Tea

Image
I have always liked tea. We used to have tea parties when I was a little girl and my mom would buy all sorts of different kinds. Now, I have a cup (at least 1) almost every day either with meals or just as a relaxing drink. I was very excited to find such a unique tea, straight from India, to try. Golden Tips has been around since 1933 and it is obvious with this wonderful tea. The bag has the date the tea was picked along with the origin: which is Darjeeling, India; the tea type: loose leaf, Estate: Makaibari; Flush: Third/Autumn; the grade and the date it is best before. Teas picked in the Autumn Flush, which is during the months of October through early December, have a more full bodied taste and more floral aroma. This tea is delicious and easy to make. I tend to make mine a little stronger, so I let it steep for 5-7 minutes. You only use about 1 tsp (I tend to go for 1 and 1/2 teaspoons) so with a bag at this size (3.53 oz) it should last me about a month. The fact th...

Black Matcha Tea Review

Image
I LOVE tea. I think it was my mom who got me hooked, or the fact I really enjoy earthy and sometimes floral flavors in my drink. Tea has a lot of great benefits for health as well.  Black Matcha tea from Matcha DNA is a delicious, certified organic tea that is chock full of antioxidants and eecg. One glass is equivalent to 10 glasses of green tea for nutritional value and antioxidant content.  When I first made the tea, I thought hey, this is easy. I'll just add a packet to hot water and bam. Hot tea. Not so much. It was very strong, but I liked the flavor so thought that was how it was done. Well it pays to read directions. You only use a 1/2 of a teaspoon in one cup. It tastes much better that way and you get about 3 cups of tea out of one packet!  There are 34 packets per bag, so if you divide each packet by 3 cups per packet, that is 102 cups of tea! You can't beat that.  For those who like sweetened tea, you can add whatever you like to this...
