Harlem Globetrotters 90 Years and Counting!



Looking for a family friendly event that kids love? The Harlem Globetrotters provide that and so much more! This past weekend myself, my son and his friends were lucky enough to see the Globetrotters at the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Ever since I was a little girl I have wanted to experience this and that small dream finally came true.

Not only were they family friendly, but funny and they kept the entertainment level at a 10. The two hours flew by and my son and his friends had a wonderful time watching the tricks, dancing and silly antics of the players. 


They were extremely good at getting the whole crowd involved and in fact we had face to face interaction with "Animal", "Firefly" and "TNT" quite a few times during the game. Animal and Firefly enjoyed our big bucket of popcorn on more than one occasion which really made the boys happy! My son was told by Firefly he could do better at shooting than one of the players on the opposing team and it just made his day. Courtside tickets were definitely an amazing place to be!


Handles was a major part of the show and the crowd really loved his antics and his signature dance moves. We laughed so many times during the Globetrotters game; it was so much fun. They gave away quite a few signed items like jersey's and basketballs and then at the end they set aside a half hour to do autographs and selfies. I was lucky enough to get a selfie with TNT and we all got her to sign our shirts!


It was definitely a great experience and when they come back to Minneapolis next year, I will be there! Hopefully my husband can come this time!

Sometimes one day in our life is just what we need to keep on moving forward. A little inspiration, encouragement and hope entering into our sometimes dismal worlds.
