Cocozia Coconut Oil ~ Extra Virgin and 100% Organic

I appreciate a good, clean coconut oil that is everything I want it to be. Cocozia does a great job with keeping the quality intact and the flavor so tasty! Coconut oil can be used for so many things, including skincare, hair care and of course, eating and cooking!
Extra Virgin is one of the best kinds you can get and it being 100% organic, means you get the best of the best here. Not only that, but for the price you get 2 JARS! Not just one! I was very happy with that! It is also USDA Certified Organic and Non-GMO Verified.

Coconut oil helps speed up the metabolism in a healthy, all-natural way so can help with weight loss. It also boosts the immune system and has anti-microbial and anti-viral properties, which help keep the body healthy and at its best functioning. You can also use it in your hair as a mask to moisturize and as an alternative to lotion. You don't need much and it leaves the skin extremely soft. It is also a great carrier oil for those of you who use it for esse…

Insta-Naturals Argan Hair Oil Treatments

If you are looking for beautiful, softer hair, look no further. Before I started using this, I had split ends like crazy and frizzy, yucky hair. It was hard to brush out after a shower because of all the dead hair and I really don't want to go in for a haircut because I love my long locks. I know, I know; trimming hair helps it grow faster.
When I was introduced to this I was very excited, because I know the benefits of Argan Oil are amazing and include strengthening and protecting hair and repairing it from damage already done. I can attest that these two products actually do that for me AND have almost all ORGANIC ingredients! That makes me and my hair extremely happy!

First, let me introduce you to the Luxurious Argan Oil Hair Treatment & Elixir. The formula is thin and only a few pumps were needed to coat my long hair. You leave it in for 10 minutes, 2 hours or can leave it in overnight, though if you do it overnight I would recommend a hair cap so your sheets and pillowc…

KOSOX Has Your Lunch Covered!

Now it may not look like much, but this lunch box and wooden bento box are sure to be handy in every day lunch life. Whether you work in an office or travel while you work, the lunch box is insulated to keep things cold or hot and the wooden bento box is just perfect for those who eat light!

Let's start with the wooden bento box. I have never seen anything quite this unique in my life. It is inspired by the Japanese and keeps food inside insulated which I would have never guessed in my life. As you can see it is wood, so you can't soak it or put it in the dishwasher though it comes clean quite easily with warm water and a little soap if needed. This one is made of pure Chinese fir and coated in Chinese lacquer. It is safe and non-toxic as well as safe for the environment. They say to watch for the smell of paint when you first get it but I didn't smell that. To remove they tell you to mix vinegar with water and to wash gently and repeat until the smell is gone. Don't …

FuryLite Shoes from Reebok

**This post contains affiliate links and I will be compensated if you make a purchase after clicking on my links

Reebok has done an impressive job with their FuryLite shoes. Descended from the iconic Reebok Insta Pump Fury, this fashion-forward sneaker combines cutting-edge architectural elements and sleek design. The synthetic mesh upper offers breathable, lightweight, full-foot comfort and the low-cut design makes for quicker foot transitions and ankle freedom. And I love the 3D Ultralite outsole. It creates a cloud-like feel with each strike of the pavement.

Reebok has made four new updates to the FuryLite, taking the sneaker staple to a new level:

Looking for a cute fall shirt???

I love longer shirts, especially in the fall with a cute pair of warm leggings. The nice thing about this shirt is that it comes in multiple colors, beige, black, redwine to name a few, and it is extremely well made. The sizes run kind of small, so heads up order a size larger than you measure.

The hem has handkerchief design and the shirt has a little stretch to it, being made of cotton and polyester. I am wearing the color Gray in size Large and as you can see it is kind of tight in the bust area and the arms, though you can't really tell about the arms. That's why I say, order a size larger than you expect and you should love it! The seams are well sewn so it should last quite awhile and it's fairly warm.

I like how very comfortable it is and am very happy with this. It is a great deal too! Check it out and maybe order one for yourself!

The Rising by Ryan D'Agostino

The Rising is based on a true story written by Ryan D'Agostino who is an acclaimed journalist. The story is that of Bill Petit and the gruesome murder of his wife and two daughters and his own near death experience. The tragedy occured July 23, 2007 in the middle of the night and it is a night he will never forget. It also tells of how he overcomes this adversity in his life and is able to move on; proving that the human being is stronger than one would have thought and life worth every minute it is lived.
The book starts off telling of Bill in his new life, after the tragedy. It talks of his memorial for his wife and daughters and even in the first chapter, you can feel the pain that he must live. It then shoots back to his memory of the night he was bludgeoned. The night he got away when he shouldn't have. The night his life was spared by some miracle. The book goes on into the life before the tragedy. It goes into details about Bill's young life, then going on about h…

Infant & Pregnancy Loss Awareness Month

October 15th marks Infant and Pregnancy Loss Awareness Day. This came to pass when Ronald Reagan, in 1988, proclaimed October to be National Infant and Pregnancy Loss Awareness Month. In his words:
"When a child loses his parent, they are called an orphan. When a spouse loses her or his partner, they are called a widow or widower. When a parent loses their child, there isn't a word to describe them. This month recognizes the loss so many parents experience across the United States and around the world. It is also meant to inform and provide resources for parents who have lost children due to miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, molar pregnancy, stillbirths, birth defects, SIDS and other causes."
Statistics show that 1 in 4 women will experience a miscarriage in their lifetime. I am 1 in 4.

Since losing our Adora July 17, 2013, I have met many brave women who have experienced the pain from losing a child or children. It is one of the most painful experiences anyone could have…

The "D" Word

It comes up in everyone's marriage I am sure. During a fight. A burst of anger. When life just brings your marriage down.

Divorce is so common nowadays people even throw parties for being "free" of the ball and chain, having the single life back etc. You get the point and I'm sure you know about it as well. The reason that I'm bringing this up is because it is a word that is thrown around very loosely, even by me at times. My marriage has been anything but perfect. We have struggled through addictions, infertility, anger, hurt and resentment. Over 10 years ago when we met, we were kids living lives full of indulgence and doing whatever we wanted. By the grace of God I was able to pull out of it quick, but Lawrence struggled even longer to get where he needs to be in life as a husband and father. In the meantime, that brewed a lot of anger and resentment in me; creating a ferocious beast that demanded recognition. He has come a long ways and in the meantime we ha…

A Cat Window Bed ~ Perfect for your Feline!

This cat bed is pretty neat. My cat, like most, loves watching the birds and small animals and this suction cupped window bed is perfect for her. It is well made, the frame being made out of a PVC pipe like material that is easy to put together. The bed itself is comfortable for cats and holds up to 50lbs though my cat is only 10lbs so I really can't vouch for the weight factor. The top pad is removable and washable; fabulous since cat hair gets stuck on it all the time. I use my extension on my vaccum to get the hair off most times though.
Here is my video tutorial:

As you can see in the video how to put it together, it just takes a little time and arm strength to do so. The suction cups stick very well and I haven't had one issue with them falling off. My cat absolutely loves this bed and I am happy with it too!
You can get your lovely pet one here:

I received this cat bed at little to no cost for testing and re…

Scalloped Potatoes with Ham

One of my favorite childhood recipes is scalloped potatoes. It is hearty, filling and just a delicious comfort food for me and I want to share my recipe!

5-6 medium russet potatoes, peeled and sliced evenly (see picture)
1/2 of a large white or vidalia sweet onion, diced
1 cup of ham (can be deli meat or cubed)
1/3 cup of butter
16 fl oz heavy whipping cream
Salt and Pepper to taste

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Place peeled and cut potatoes in a 13x9 inch pan. Cover with onions and ham and mix together for even distribution. Add enough salt and pepper to taste and then slice the butter and place on top of the potatoes (see picture). Pour the heavy whipping cream over the top of the potatoes and ham and bake for about an hour, stirring a few times in between. The potatoes will be tender and the cream thick and bubbly.

Now my mom used to cook this in a bowl, layering the potatoes, onions, ham butter, then another layer of potatoes etc. She would bake it in a ceramic dish…

Lucky Brushes

Lucky Brushes are the fun and affordable way to introduce your baby/toddler to the world of brushing! Brushing teeth is an essential habit to everyone, as we all know, so introducing it at a young age is a brilliant idea. Kids are imitators, so naturally watching those around them is how they learn. But when they can get their hands on the same item, they are in heaven!
Now, these aren't just ordinary toothbrushes. They also are teethers that massage those sad, swollen, teething gums little ones get. Teething is one of the hardest "seasons" kids go through for the child and parents alike so the more we can help them get through it, the better for the both of us!

The handle on the brush is an easy-to-hold horseshoe shape perfect for those chubby little hands to grasp. It is BPA free and FDA approved making it a safe choice for our sweet little angels. The bristles are soft but not too soft, actually cleaning your childs teeth whether they are chewing on it or actually tr…

Bath Painting!

When Benjamin gets disappointed, it is sad, but sometimes it is due to his own fault with not listening or just being a kid. Last night it was because he took a LONG time to finish his food, getting up to go potty twice during dinner, messing around with his imagination etc. If anyone has an imaginative child they get it.
Needless to say it was pretty much dark out before he finished dinner so he was unable to play outside, which really devestated him to the point of tears so I came up with a painting in the tub idea to keep him busy for a little bit before bedtime. It was bath night after all and I figured it would get his mind off of his disappointment.
I grabbed what little was left in his Crayola washable finger paints and decided the mess was worth his smiles. Sure enough it was a huge hit. I let him squirt it onto his hands and paint all over the tub walls (NOTE: I am not sure how this would clean up with tiles and grout). He spent the rest of his night before bedtime having a …
