Etekcity Multi-function Digital Scale and Measuring Cup

Image
First off, I didn't even know they made such hi-tech scales for the kitchen. I've seen flat digital scales for foods but never one that has a measuring cup attached. The cup is detachable for easy pouring and so the scale itself doesn't get messy or ruined. And if the scale get's dirty, just wipe clean with a damp towel and dry it right away. I found this scale perfect for all cooking and measurments. I especially like using it to make cakes because having exact amounts can be crucial to how the cake turns out. Same with my homemade bread! There is a little more give on the bread, but I still like to be accurate. Another favorite is to mix a sauce right in the cup for easy, one dish cooking. There is 4 preset modes: flour, oil, milk and water. It also measures in volume and in weight which I really like. The mode button changes what you are measuring, i.e. the flour, oil etc., and the unit button chooses the type of measurement. Another great functio

Vivia Formula VF-360 - The Revolutionary Defense System

Most of us strive to live longer, healthier lives by eating healthy and exercising regularly. The one thing that we aren't always aware of is our vitamin intake. I didn't even think twice when I felt tired all the time and the problem happened to be a lack of Vitamin B. Depression can be caused by a lack of Vitamin D also, so I make sure to take that as well. The problem is, there are so many supplements out there it is hard to choose the right one, because they are NOT all created equally. The unique aspect of Vivia Formula's VF-360 system is that it is formulated with over 90 different vital ingredients. One pill to be taken in the morning, one in the afternoon and one at night. Each system comes with a one month supply. It is made in the USA and formulated for anyone to take.  The Morning kick starts your day with Vitamin C, Vitamins B6 & B12

Papaya Sorbet

Image
So here is a quick and healthy recipe to try! I got my wisdom teeth extracted Wednesday and wanted to be prepared with some healthy foods and here is one! Papaya is a super fruit and with honey instead of sugar this is a delicious alternative to ice cream. Here is what you need: 2 Tablespoons of honey 1 medium size ripe papaya 2 small lemons or one large Blender Knife and cutting board Cut the papaya in half and only blend one half at a time. Cube the papaya and place in the blender. Add 1 Tablespoon of honey and zest one of the lemons or half of a large lemon into the blender. Juice the lemon and remove seeds then add in blender as well.  Liquify the mixture and add to a glass pan or an ice cream maker if you own one.  With the last half of the ingredients, do the same and add to the pan. If you are using an ice cream maker, follow those directions. If you are doing it like me, place in freezer, uncovered, and every two hours stir the mix

I was recently introduced to Sunflower Oil through social media and was so impressed by what I found that I just HAVE to share it with you. Now the sunflower oil in the picture is from  Healthy Harvest Productions, LLC  and is a Non-GMO form of it. Before we get into why this is my favorite brand, let's explore why to use sunflower oil. Benefits Sunflower oil is high in Vitamin E, Tocopherol as well as Omega-3 and Omega-6. It naturally has antioxidants as well. It is important for our bodies to have a healthy balance of fatty acids. Sunflower oil has many health benefits including skin, heart and immune system support. #GFFAFest in Minneapolis!!!

Image
Today was a fabulous day at the Minneapolis Convention Center for the Gluten-Free Food Allergy Festival . With so many vendors and so much to learn, two days just didn't seem long enough! The festival was held Saturday May 16th through Sunday May 17th from 10am-4pm both days.  There were various vendors including Cheerios , who is proudly going to be providing gluten free choices beginning in July. The five cereals that will be gluten free are the Original Cheerios, Honey Nut, Multi-Grain, Apple Cinnamon and Frosted. The line to the booth was SO long! Who wouldn't be interested in such a popular brand becoming eatable for those suffering from food allergies and celiac disease, among other things. They had a wheel you could spin to win a magnet or a T-shirt! It was so popular that they ran out of T-shirts before long. Very fun to interact with them! A few more popular brands included Glutino  and Udi's . (Head's up: click that Udi's link to get a $1 off coupon f

100% Pure and Natural Garcinia Cambogia from Kerala

Image
FINALLY a 100% Natural Garcinia Cambogia that isn't a ginormous pill or that smells terrible. This is SO easy to take, which I very much appreciate. Aside from the actual supplement part which includes Calcium, Chromium, Potassium and Garcinia Cambogia Extract and Gymnema Sylvestre there is only Rice Extract and a vegetarian capsule. So the majority of what you are ingesting is what you want to be ingesting! To me that means better results, which I have found in comparison to a lot of the other products out there. This contains NO GMO's, artificial ingredients, preservatives, stearates, laureates, sulfates or dioxides. It has 60% HCA which helps with max absorption for better results as well. The instructions say to take 1 capsule 30-60 minutes before each meal. So 3 tablets a day. I like that I only have to take one before each meal because pills aren't fun to take for me anyway. I can tell that one pill is good enough as well. It boosts my metabolism

Makaibari Organic Darjeeling Black Tea

Image
I have always liked tea. We used to have tea parties when I was a little girl and my mom would buy all sorts of different kinds. Now, I have a cup (at least 1) almost every day either with meals or just as a relaxing drink. I was very excited to find such a unique tea, straight from India, to try. Golden Tips has been around since 1933 and it is obvious with this wonderful tea. The bag has the date the tea was picked along with the origin: which is Darjeeling, India; the tea type: loose leaf, Estate: Makaibari; Flush: Third/Autumn; the grade and the date it is best before. Teas picked in the Autumn Flush, which is during the months of October through early December, have a more full bodied taste and more floral aroma. This tea is delicious and easy to make. I tend to make mine a little stronger, so I let it steep for 5-7 minutes. You only use about 1 tsp (I tend to go for 1 and 1/2 teaspoons) so with a bag at this size (3.53 oz) it should last me about a month. The fact th

I Am Nothing On My Own

Image
Lately, I have been pondering a few things. Benjamin and I listen to what I call "Story Time" on the radio. I've listened to it since I was a kid. It has great programs related to God and just good morals they teach kids within the hour and a half program. One of the stories sparked a question inside me. It was about two boys who were talking about their churches and how they would hand out materials to others. One of the boys thought that was his way of earning his way into heaven, while the other boy disagreed and said he just did that to bring others to the Lord. He said the only real way of getting into heaven was accepting Jesus as your Savior because you know you can't do it without him; because you needed him. That is what sparked my interest. Do I really need Jesus? Does my life spell out the fact that I can't do it on my own? I remember a conversation with a friend who was telling me how she thought it was impressive that I had quit drinking, smoki

SmartCandy - The Smarter Way To Snack

Image
Tired of all the artificial flavors and colors and high fructose corn syrup infiltrating your families snacks? With a 4 year old in the house who just LOVES fruit snacks, I know the feeling. I dislike buying them and have been looking for a better option to give my son other than those jam packed with things VERY unhealthy for him. Plus, I like good snacks too, who doesn't? If you haven't heard of it, I would like to introduce you to SmartCandy. It is an innovative candy that was created by Eric and Andrea Stoll. Meet them here: Photo courtesy of SmartCandy Like most parents, they want what is best for their kids! So since we know where this idea started, let's look at what the idea has brought to the table, and more literally my kitchen cupboard. There are currently 4 flavors, two for each type. Here is Strawberry Froot and Orange Froot which are a yogurt flavored candy-coated snack.                            Each package comes with a good amo

BestFire Essential Oil Diffuser with 7 LED Lights!

Image
Essential Oils are the new fad these days and I myself have been using them for quite a few years now. It isn't until recently that I have been wanting a diffuser for home use because of the positive affects I have heard it has on a variety of ailments. The one in particular I would like to nip in the bud is allergies. BestFire's Oil Diffuser comes with everything pictured above. A USB cord along with a manual to go with the diffuser. I was a little skeptical about the USB cord instead of a regular outlet plug, but this is actually fabulous! Work in an office? It can be hooked to your computer at work! Traveling? If you really wanted to, you could use this in a car or RV for benefits on the go. For home use, I just plug it into an old phone charger port and voila! Not only that, it has 7 LED light settings that switch every few seconds to a new color. It is quite beautiful.                          There are 4 settings; 30 minute, 60 minute, 120 minute and 180

Digital Cooking Thermometer Review

Image
I have been wanting a meat thermometer FOREVER it feels like. I love that this one is digital and extremely easy to use. It also has a hold button to save the previously read temperature. It can be safely stored with the slipcover that is very sturdy, which I REALLY like. The thermometer tip is sharp so I definitely like this feature. It also has a clip to easily hook onto an apron, which would be perfect for grilling outside! You can also change the reading from Celsius to Fahrenheit with the click of a button. It is easily placed in food to take the temperature and gets a reading quickly! It has an auto shut-off so no worries about killing the battery very fast. If you do have to change the battery, the top comes off of the thermometer for easy replacement. It reads temperature from -58° to 572°, which is crazy in my opinion but very versatile I must say!!!  My favorite part of having this is I don't have to cut into meat to see if i
