Madison Reed - An Innovation in Hair Dye!

I used to dye my hair all the time as a teenager and into my early twenties. Since having Benjamin, I have maybe 4 times in the last 4 years. I usually dislike it, as the smell is so ridiculously strong that it burns my eyes and gives me a headache.

I am SO happy to have found this company and was psyched when I got my box today! I was excited to change my accidental blonde hair back to a lighter brown.

The first thing I noticed was how AWESOME the box is! Check this out!

I had no idea what this box held, but by the looks of it, I was already excited. After I opened it this is what I saw:

The instructions are on the box and here is what is inside: 2 pairs of gloves (top left), a cap (top right), barrier cream (under the gloves), a cleansing wipe (under the cap), a color activator bottle (bottom left), color tube (purple box in the middle), shampoo (purple bottle on the right) and conditioner.

I have never gotten a cleansing wipe or barrier cream with any hair dye. The cleansing wipe works terrific for after you put the cap on. You just wipe off any dye that you got on your face or neck.

The cap is a HUGE plus too so when you are letting it set for the 20 or 35 minutes, you don't have to worry about hair dye getting on clothes. I have really long hair so I thought this was fantastic!

What makes MadisonReed so special is that it is Ammonia, Resorcinol and PPD-free with no Parabens added to the formula! There is NO stink when you dye your hair! I actually told my husband to smell the bottle and he was shocked that it smelled good! I did my hair without having to leave the bathroom several times so my eyes didn't burn out of my skull and my lungs didn't hurt. And that's with the vent fan going. I was so surprised that there was no stench! So exciting!

The formula uses Argan Oil, Keratin and Ginseng Root. Even look at the ingredients on the shampoo and conditioner!

If you can't read that here they are:

Shampoo
  • Lupine and Rice Protein
  • Argan Oil
  • Ginseng Extract
  • Vitamin B5
  • Quinoa
  • Aloe
  • Keratin
Conditioner

  • Lupine, Rice and Vegetable Protein
  • Argan Oil
  • Ginseng Extract
  • Vitamin B5
  • Aloe
  • Keratin
And must I say, that they smell fabulous! The whole box made it a smell good, hair dye experience. After I washed the dye out and conditioned my hair, it was light and felt amazing! Unlike traditional dyes, it not only smelled good, but didn't feel like it completely destroyed my hair after I dyed it. Look at my transformation pictures:
