Do you like tea or know someone who does? Then this post is a must read! I had never heard of Organic India until Moms Meet introduced me to it recently. I have always loved tea (tea parties as a kid anyone?) and a good hot cup of tea is just what I love to relax with; that and a good book.
What is unique about Organic India tea is that you will see the word Tulsi on all the boxes. For over 5,000 years Tulsi has been considered to be India's "Queen of Herbs". It is revered as one of the most sacred herbs as they believe it is infused with healing power.
Now I'm not sure about the healing power, but it certainly is delicious. I did find that the Sweet Rose was especially relaxing and helped me sleep that night. My second favorite is the Pomegranate Green, which I prefer iced. It is also the only one I received that has caffeine, so the majority of them are perfect for that relaxing cup of tea before bed. There are over 20 different flavors and Organic India also offers a variety of organically grown herbal supplements and as you can see from the above picture, psyllium husks, which are amazing quality and if you use that in your diet, you will love it!
Here are just a few quick facts about Tulsi Tea:
*It is abundant in antioxidants, offering stress relief, increased energy and a boost to the immune system
*Organic India's Tulsi is a Holy Basil formula and certified organic Tulsi Tea with three varieties of Tulsi leaves: Rama, Vana and Krishna. Each of these three has a slightly different taste, smell and look and when combined create a perfect balance or herbal infusion
*Organic India Tulsi Tea is USDA Certified Organic, Non-GMO Project Verified, Kosher and Halal certified, gluten free and vegan
Tulsi is also an adaptogenic herb. Adaptogens have been shown to naturally reduce stress as well as support our immune systems and have been used in Chinese and Ayurvedic herbal medicines for thousands of years to maintain a well being. They naturally help the body adapt to physical, emotional and even environmental impacts on our bodies while restoring balance. So I guess you could say they are healing when used regularly.
For my family, this tea has become a regular staple in the house, mostly used by me. My son loves tea as well, but out of these the peppermint is his favorite. I am very pleased to have found such a gem and hope that you will try it as well! I know you won't regret it!
